Russ Dappen of Scottsbluff made a Hole In One on his second shot in the semi-finals, and won a Suzuki Grand Vitara provided by Steve’s Auto Sales. The Vehicle is worth an estimated $15,000.
Dappen’s shot in blustery conditions from 150 yards out on hole #18 at Monument Shadows Golf Course hit the green, took one bounce and did a “victory lap” around the hole before falling in. The shot set off a wild celebration around the green and at the 150 yard marker where the other contestants were competing. It was the first time in the 8 years of the local event that there has been a Hole In One in the semi-finals or finals
Alain Seguin got a Hole In One on his third shot in the semi-finals and won a $5000 shopping spree.
